Rosemary Clooney (May 23, 1928 – June 29, 2002) was an American popular singer and actress.

She was innate around Maysville, Kentucky, about 60 miles higher a Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio to Andrew Joseph Clooney and Frances Marie Guilfoyle, two of whom were of Irish descent (Rosemary's paternal nifty-grandparents, Nicholas Clooney & Bridget Byron, were natural within Ireland), although Clooney's paternal gran, Crescentia Koch, was German. Her father was an alcoholic & she and her brother and sister were constantly moving to and fro between her parents. In time, after Rosemary was Thirteen, she & her sister Betty attend accept their mother & her brother Nick went by owning their father.

Rosemary, Betty, and brother, Nick, when well as her nephew, George Clooney (Nick's son), wholly became entertainers. Within 1945 the Clooney sisters win a spot on Cincinnati's radio station WLW as singers. Her sister Betty sang inside the duo by having Rosemary for good deal of her early career. Clooney's 1st recordings, inside Can of 1946 were for Columbia Records as a singer with a big band of Tony Pastor. She continued working using a Pastor band until 1949, making her last recording using the b& around Will of that year and her foremost as a solo creative person a month down the road, however for Columbia. Within 1951 her record of "Come On-a My House" became a hit, her 1st of several singles to hit the stock and index charts.

Around 1954 she, along with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, and Vera-Ellen, starred in the movie White Christmas.

Within 1958, Clooney left Columbia, doing a total of recordings for MGM Records and then some for Coral Records. Eventually, toward a prevent of 1958, she signed by owning RCA Victor Records, where she stayed until 1963 except for doing some recordings inside 1960 for Reprise Records. Around 1964 she went to Reprise once more, shifting a next month to Dot Records. Around 1966 she went to United Artists Records. Within 1986 she sang a duet sustaining Wild Man Fischer on "It's a Hard Business".

Within 1968, Clooney was present at the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy, with whom she was a close friend. A event traumatized her life for years after. She got the nervous breakdown & good drug problems. Several attribute a bit of of Clooney’s extraordinary abilities to her existence affected by bipolar disorder, commonly called manic depression.

Rosemary Clooney was married twice, when to José Ferrer (from 1953 until 1961) by whom she had 5 tykes, including actor Miguel Ferrer, born within 1955, and Gabriel Ferrer, born 1956, who married Debby Boone, and another time to Dante DePaolo (whom she married within 1997).
